Frequently Asked Questions
Q:  How long do I fast for a fasting blood draw?
A:   An 8-10 hour fast is required to accurately assess your cholesterol and
blood sugar.  You should take your morning medications with water.  

Q:   When will I get the results of my tests?
A:   Typically we will call or send you a letter regarding your results in 1-2
weeks.  If you do not hear from us, please call us.  


Q:   When does my child need well visits?
A:    A well child visit is required at 7-10 days of age, 2 mos, 4 mos, 6 mos, 9
mos, 12 mos, 15 mos, 18 mos, 24 mos, 36 mos.  After that point a school
physical may be required at the entrance of preschool, kindergarten, 5th
grade, 9 grade and college.

Q:   What immunizations will my child be getting?
A:    Click for:   immunization schedule   .  Some shots may vary as we do use
combination vaccines.  

Q:   Are all physicals covered?
A:    There are different types of physicals:  complete, well women or annual
gyne, school, sports, employment or pre-operative.    Not everyone has
coverage for well visits.  You should verify with your insurance company
before your appointment.   Our office has no way of knowing if it is covered
until the claim has been submitted.

Q:   What is the pediatric dosage for tylenol and motrin?
A:    Dosages for children under 2 years is not listed as it is calculated by your
physician based on weight.  No motrin/advil should be given to a child below
six months of age.
